Dr. Nicholas J.V. Hogg

Dr. Nicholas J.V. Hogg is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with degrees in both Medicine and Dentistry. He is based in London, Ontario, where he has been in private practice since 2006.

Dr. Hogg's extensive training began at Western University, where he earned both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science degree. Following this, he completed a comprehensive Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery internship at London Health Sciences Centre.

Continuing his education, Dr. Hogg pursued residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia, where he also obtained a Medical Doctor degree and another Master's degree from Dalhousie University.

Dr. Hogg then completed a Craniomaxillofacial Surgery Fellowship at Charleston Area Medical Centre, specializing in Craniofacial Reconstructive Surgery, Craniomaxillofacial Trauma Surgery, and Cleft Lip and Palate Surgery under the mentorship of renowned surgeon Dr. Bruce Horswell and his team. This accomplishment was the completion of his 18-year educational journey.

Dr. Hogg currently practices in his modern surgical centre in London and is a staff surgeon at Listowel Memorial Hospital. He resides in London with his wife and three children and is an avid golfer in his spare time.

Super knowledgeable, creates a very great and relaxing environment. Just had all my wisdom teeth taken out and I was a bit nervous but it was so smooth and he and all the staff were very warm and comforting. I would definitely recommend!

I can only say great things about Dr Hogg and his amazing staff. Dr Hogg was extremely kind and caring from consultation to the removal of her Wisdom teeth, and also made calls to check up on her for a couple of days after. He has a very calm and relaxing approach and helped my daughter through her anxiety. I was constantly updated on each removal and how she was during recovery by his assistants and himself. My daughter had no swelling or bruising and we are 4 days in. Fantastic job!!! Highly recommend.

I recently had two impacted wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. Hogg, and was impressed not only with his service, but the overall kindness of the staff as well. I was rather nervous about being asleep during the procedure, especially as a Type 1 Diabetic, however from the minute I walked into his office, I felt very comfortable and the receptionists were the sweetest in making sure I knew everything that was to be expected. Dr. Hogg called multiple times both before and after the surgery to make sure I knew how to prepare, and how to continue in the days after the procedure. I am thoroughly impressed with the professionalism, and compassion that Dr. Hogg and his staff possess!
